The 100-yer-old city of La Mesa, in San Diego County, is called the “jewel of the hills.” Set just 12 miles east of the Pacific Ocean, its near-perfect climate, small-town feel, and pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods make this community of rolling hills a treasure among places to live in San Diego.
