La Mesa - Small Town Charm, perfect weather!

The 100-yer-old city of La Mesa, in San Diego County, is called the “jewel of the hills.”  Set just 12 miles east of the Pacific Ocean, its near-perfect climate, small-town feel, and pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods make this community of rolling hills a treasure among places to live in San Diego.  This highly-desirable residential area boasts picturesque vistas and tree-lined streets in almost every inch of its 9 square miles.  Residents enjoy urban walking trails, which connect the individual “villages” within the community.  La Mesa’s downtown village is home to many premier shops, restaurants, art galleries, and government services.  La Mesa celebrates artistic expression within its community through the La Mesa Arts Alliance, an arts advocacy group that has beautifully painted the downtown utility boxes with murals of flowers, butterflies, birds, and other creations from the city’s youth and local artisans. Close-knit enclaves of homes retain a laid-back, suburban feel while still being within walking distance to retail and commercial buildings and centers.  Many residents live and work in the community that provides housing for a population of 57,096 people.
